When we first checked out Strata, we were pretty impressed. It's a big step up from the previous portal version. It’s also designed specifically for Scotland’s multi-property buildings, and you can tell the team behind it really understands the day-to-day issues owners and residents face. Everything is in one place: communication, finances, repairs, and all the important documents you can't afford to lose. (And as an IT manager whose dealt with a lot of systems, I appreciate the clarity and simplicity.)
With Strata, you can see at a glance what’s happening with your building, communicate with neighbours, log repairs, and even vote on decisions. No more chasing payments or trying to remember who agreed to what - it’s all transparent and fair, which is a huge relief for everyone involved.
How We’re Using Strata at 7days.property
We’ve started rolling out Strata for our managed buildings, and the feedback has been good. Our customers love being able to check updates and make payments online, without any confusion. It’s also made it much easier for us to keep everyone in the loop and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Now, when a repair is needed, we can share quotes with all owners, get their votes, and track progress — all through Strata. No more endless email chains or lost paperwork! Plus, having a clear record of every decision and expense makes things much smoother if there are ever any questions.
A Better Way Forward
Honestly, we think Strata is a game-changer for property management in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It’s made a big difference for us and our customers already, and the Strata team are open to our suggestions for further innovation in this field - for example using property IDs and geodata to show residents detailed building information, or helping get contractors to the exact spot they need to be.
